The Micro Lofts at the Arcade Providence were selected to be featured in 2016 Sustainia 100, an annual publication that presents the most innovative, available, scalable and sustainable solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. From health solutions that tackle climate change, to renewable energy products that alleviate gender inequality, this year’s publication sets out 100 solutions which respond to the interconnected global challenges addressed through the Sustainable Development Goals.
To date, NCA’s micro loft project has earned awards from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Congress for New Urbanism, Multi-Housing News, American Institute of Architects, Preserve Rhode Island, and Providence Preservation Society.

Now in its fifth year, the Sustainia100 is published by leading sustainability firm Sustainia, which has tracked more than 4,500 solutions to date from all over the world. This year’s edition features solutions deployed in 188 countries, and more than half come from the SME sector.
