UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND – Memorial Student Union – Kingston, RI

Originally constructed in 1954, Memorial Student Union served as University of Rhode Island’s center for student life. NCA designed a new façade, additional space, and landscape plan that unified the complex. The new exterior features brick, scored masonry, colored tiles and URI Blue windows. The additions form an edifice with a clock tower that distinguishes a new entrance and lobby. The redesign also includes an amphitheater, courtyard bounded by pedestrian ramps and an atrium.
