NCA designed the Pre-K through grade eight campus on an historic 20-acre farm. The setting inspired the design team to create a 40,000 square foot learning environment that recalls the site’s agrarian heritage. The design features two wings connected by an enclosed walkway and dramatic staircase housed in a farm silo. The two-story classroom wings are distinguished by rusticated masonry and red cedar shingles. The U-shape of the school provides an enclosed playground and gathering space. The design-build project was completed on-time and under budget by 30%.
