NCA designed a 106-room Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites hotel in the heart of New Bedford’s historic waterfront. The five-story commercial project incorporates Baker-Robinson Oil Works, a granite structure that used to be a whale oil refinery. The hotel’s façade combines brick, granite and wood. The Baker-Robinson Oil Works was most likely built 1837-1838 and is one of only five structures known to survive.
