NCA created a three-story facility within the envelope of the barn. The building acts as a transition between farm buildings and the campus designed by Pietro Belluschi in the 1950s. An art gallery, ceramics studio, classrooms, and outdoor terrace occupy the main level. A photo laboratory and two classrooms comprise the lower level. And painting studios with cathedral ceilings and a unique walkway that joins the two spaces distinguish the second story. The project earned Education Design Showcases’ award for Outstanding Architecture and Design in Education.
