NCA Partner John Grosvenor recently discovered a rare albumen image of Fort Adams at the Antiques Collaborative in Qeeuche, Vermont. The image was photographed during the Civil War and provides rare glimpses of a Civil War regiment, dignitaries in a horse and buggy, officers’ families, cannons and a shot furnace. Recognizing the image’s historic importance, NCA purchased and donated the artifact to Fort Adams Trust. The Trust plans to exhibit the image in their new museum space next spring.
